This delicious fresh salsa beats that jar stuff all day long! Clean, simple, and easy to make as a dip, seafood marinade, as a topping on taco Tuesdays, or a kick of a surprise on gourmet burgers. This recipe calls for the freshest heirloom tomatoes, garlic, spicy peppers, cilantro.
Want to kick it up a notch? Grill the tomatoes, onions, and peppers for a smokey layer of flavor. If you don't feel like grilling outdoors? Add a small teaspoon of canned chipotle peppers for that smokey flavor. How about adding some summer flare? grilled pineapple!
*If you're wary about the spice level, start with banana peppers or green bell peppers for a more mild flavor and experiment with adding more heat over time.
